Ditto, Phil at Fastlane is a great guy. Ship to Hawaii via USPS Priority mail unless it's something heavy. For glow plugs you can also try napa, I used to get stuff like that special order through the navy base auto center. Chuck

The man is extremely honest, and shipping is always lightning fast. 9 times out of 10 his prices beat everybody else's.

Umm. No offense, I realize that I'm new here, but I don't see a reason why I can't list a hugely reputable parts supplier. I'm not sure what his role is in the Mercedes community, as this is my first venture into it, but coming from the BMW world, Steve is an avid BMW enthusiast, is a local Peachtree Chapter BMWCCA sponsor, 5erFest sponsor, and gives great forum discounts. I'm sure if he knew of this forum, he may be willing to step up to the plate here as well.

IDK Who he ships thru, but I've never been charge shipping, and it usually arrives next day, even when I lived up in NY.

I've heard Autolite GP's are low quality. Available at Autozone. Attempt Bosch, from sources above.

Well.. Phil IS THE MAN.. He is paying the bill here. I've been nothing but amazed with how fast his service is. For those of you east coast guys that think he will be slow shipping, being from CA... THINK AGAIN.

I've actually got stuff NEXT DAY. He must have a distributor out east.

none taken
This is the Mercedesshop.com forum, which is sponsored by Fastlane. Not by Steve the BMW parts guy in GA. If you want to support this forum and continue to enjoy the fruits of its tree of knowledge, show respect and order from Fastlane. 6 of one half dozen of the other anyway, however incidentally Phil is the gold standard when it comes to customer service. I'm sure Stevo is a really good guy but he doesn't support this forum in any way.

Oh yes, you are charged shipping. You may not know it but you are. There is no free lunch, only the perception of such. Petroleum fuels cost an avg of $2.60+ per gallon. Do you actually believe that cost will be waived for everybody everywhere? If the shipping was truly free it would be a huge financial drain. They are upcharging the parts and calling it good on the shipping, and probably making more money like that to boot.
