electric sunroof a no go

Trouble shooting the electic sunroof on my 74 240. It shows no signs of life. I have bench tested the motor, it works fine and checked the fuse. Any other easy places to look for the problem?
Thanks,Eric

I would try pulling cleaning and lubing the cable and tracks. Not sure about the W115 sunroof assembly but it is fairly easy to do on the W123. Use the proper Mercedes grease when you re-lube the assembly.

The motor does not run when hooked up to its power source and is detached from the drive cable. You are right about the track needing cleaned, but I dont even have the motor working yet.

Oops. Have you checked out the switch?

Check fuse

I had a similar problem. I know you said you checked the fuse, but...

Replace it with a known good fuse - from a circuit you know to be working properly or using a new fuse.

Otherwise, check the switch for voltage, then the connection at the motor while someone operates the switch.
