Man! This car!! Is it worth it!??

1982, 300td.

So I think my water pump is dead. She's getting way too hot, and sometimes I'll see water drips on the ground near the front of the engine. I think that's the weep hole doing it's job. (I haven't seen it drip since I learned where the weep hole was though). Anyway, so that bugger needs to go. Is there a rebuild kit, or should I just go ahead and put in a new one??

Also, vacuum pump needs rebuilt....

Man.... I'm considering getting rid of it.... but I love her so....

Score one for the good guys!

Also, is this website worth checking out?? http://www.pindelski.com

The vac pump rebuild is pretty easy. I wouldn't fret over that.

Water pump installationis typically about an hour. I wouldn't worry about that either.

I replaced my water pump about a month ago at 181K. I think I payed $40 for it, which I considered cheap. If you are going to replace it, I would consider replacing the belts at the same time if they need it. I might have payed $50 for all new belts.

SORRY BUT
if these minor problems make you think about
getting rid of this car then you shouldn't be
driving a used car where you will have to fix
something or another on a regular basis.

Louis.
