Little water in W115 trunk...culprits/Need Help
Alright. No more water in interior. Trunk, however, a vew different problem. Only towards the front, not towards back, and only from left hand side. The gasket has been replaced on the rear window, and the only thing I can think of is through the power antenna area. Not cracking on the trunk gasket, and water properly routes itself. Any ideas? Not a ton, but moist.

Did they put sealant on the gasket when they replaced it?
|
Yes
Yes they did use sealant, but it seems its still a little moist.

Seal around the antenna. Check for rust in the left well under the antenna. Repair any rust and coat the area with linseed oil. It is thick, clings well, and stays pliable. I just went through all this last year.

If you have any rust around your rear wheel-wells, there could be a hole from the wheel well to the truck. I pulled back the carpet in my trunk and found a huge hole where the wheel-well and the car's side panel connects. There would most likely be a lot of water in there if this were the case though. Also, check to see if your rubber drain plugs are still in the trunk floor (one in each well). If they fell out, there would be a good sized hole there and water could probably get in. This would be more towards the back though...
