190 2.2 tensioner oil leak
I have a messy oil leak in the front of my 190d which seems to spring from the tensioner bolt. There is an aluminum washer but am I missing a seal? Is this a place for locktite or is there another solution out there?
This is a car that gave me fits when I first bought it last summer but is settling down and running nicely and is slowly earning my trust. |

No seal. FSM calls for Omnifit 100M Orage/002 989 23 71 and torque to 100Nm/73 lbft. Some folks use red Loktite.

190d tensioner oil leak
I really want to fix this leak before I put the underpan back-- and in the winter you want the underpan installed. I changed the front seal already-- the oil smear is around the tensioner and going to the water pump side. The tensioner came off easily certainly not at 75 ftlbs.
