124 Shock Replacement help
I replaced the shocks in the wife's 123 Friday night, and i replaced the rear shocks on my 124 yesterday evening. not a bad job by any stretch of the imagination, but i do have one question. Before I do the front shocks, I need to know how many of the little bumper things I am supposed to slide over the piston of the new shock. The shock did not come with any, I have seen pictures where there were two installed, I have also seen literature where only one is there. How many are there supposed to be. I can't simply look at the old shocks currently installed and do the same as there aren't any installed right now. If someone could please give me the answer to this little question it would be appreciated as I would like to finish up this job.
Thanks.

Do you have the shop manual? I'm curious what little rubber things you are referring to, I'm sitting here looking at the removal/installation PDF and I'm seeing lots of little rubber things.

Supplementary Rubber Springs?
This shop page is for a 123, but might be close enough to help. Is part 11h (Supplementary Rubber Springs) what you are talking about?
