I like a lot the suggestion above about the stainless mesh with the three aluminum stripes. Keep it elegant a least.

On the question of the headlight doors I actually like the look of them painted black, grey or body color. A stainless headlight door would also look good ( i dislike the plastic crap around the DOT lamps.).
A lot of people in europe may disagree that DOT headlight look stock (Euro loghts ARE stock!).

It's similar to the grille on the W140 S600. Basically, you take an OEM grille, paint the screen black, and add a few more chrome strips. Looks nice, not too flashy.

The brand new ones don't spider, the old and crusty OG ones spider. I like my setup without the clear plastic but I think ill order some new ones from henry sometime this year and try that Avantgarde thing
