WOW, it's a EURO... I think. Look at the lights! and the bumpers. also, the seats appear to be leather... this looks like a pretty decent vehicle. I wonder how far apart the head got...

that transmission WILL work for what you're looking to do Jack.

what are you going to do with it if you get it tech? parts or restore?

That is the manual climate control, like a 240D. The manual controls are correct for a euro model.

I don't know, I thought they were manual. Maybe it was an option? Someone here will probably know.

I am not looking at this TD for a trans. I found another 300D with a possibly bad trans. that I want to get. I figure if I can put a trans in it and flip it I can make a few bucks. Might get the wife off my a$$ for spending so much time on the puter too

Some euro's had automatic AC, most had manual. Some had turbos, most did not.
Headlights, bumpers, lights can all be swapped over pretty easy, but the manual climate control lets you know it's euro.
Also, euro models weren't rust proofed as well as American models, which could explain some of the rust issues. Leather means nothing, as my wagon is leather, but black for a color is rare.

I would love this so I can get out of my non turbo 79... but there is so much taken apart on that motor... why would the guy pull off the SLS pump to remove the head? I have a spare though, so whatever is missing can be fixed by me...

I have a perfect trans in my 78D only 114K on the car! if you are looking.

84 300D rusted everywere! hole in the passanger door from rust, rear right fender gone...to rust. trim pieace that fell off the bottom of the front left fender...welp u get the idea

83 240D EURO. 3 little specs of rust on the front right fender. undercarage clean everything else clean

i guess it also depends on how someone might drive it, or were they live at

Hmm, he says there is rust around the jack points, but it's not too bad, still useable. if only the car had the third row... three black leather rows of seats... ahh heaven, not to be though. 9 days perhaps the disassembled motor and damaged grille will scare off enough bidders for me to get it for 500... wishing? hoping? who knows. Heh, THIS will be where I stick my 4SPD manual...
