1996 w210 na diesel Engine stalls right after good start-up.Recently replaced K1 and glow plugs. After it finally starts running good I start driving and sometimes within a quarter mile or so and for the next maybe 5 or 6 miles it is fuel starved, grey smoke and sometimes dying. After it's up to operating temperature it runs ok. What's your diagnosis?

Don't know about the diagnosis, but grey smoke is typically unburned fuel so I'm guessing it's not fuel started but fuel unburned. Have you done a diesel purge to clean your injectors?

What is OAT? Kinda sounds like a plugged fuel filter. If it's cold enough, it's possible for a wax buildup that will go away after the fuel is heated. Also, are you running straight #2?
