Can Anyone Tell me Which Pink Vacuum Accuator accuates the floor flap heat
Hello, I have an 85 300 TD and I have located and manually actuated three of the pink vacuum actuators for the floor flap heat/vent. Anyhow, I am unsuccessful with locating the correct one. Does anyone know conclusively the location of that accuator which opens the air flow to the foot rest area
Found so far. Accuator A Behind and Right of Glove Box- Fresh air? Accuator B Behind and Left of Glove Box- Fresh Air or Dash Vents? Accuator C Behind Clock-Appears to be for the defrost Accuator D Location Unknown, for the floor vents, ??????? My feet are freezing so any help would be appreciated The Kid |

It's the one way behind the console, up against the firewall and visible when looking at about a 2 o'clock angle above the accelerator pedal.
A failed defroster pod (the big one with two vacuum lines, easily visible if you have the driver's side lower dash panel removed) will also result in all air blowing out the defroster vents, and none to the feet. Finally, you should inspect the large grommet the steering column passes through at the firewall (inspect it from under the hood). If it's cracked or torn, it can produce an uncomfortable air leak at speed. BTDT |
