83 oil cooler on an 80?

Hi all

My oil cooler on my 80 300SD is in bad shape. I have a perfectly good oil cooler for a 83 300SD. I know the parts are different and i would have to make some mods. My question is will the hoses from the 80 thread on to the 83 oil cooler? Anyone know off hand?
