Question pulling PC chamber on 603 head

Got a 603 head from pull a part. Removed injectors, valves, heat shields, PCc lock screws. Manual says drive out PCc. Tried with Aluminum drift. Moved about 1/8 inch then stopped. Soaking in penatrating oil. Is there an easier way? Do these usually come out this hard?

They usually require the puller.

It's a slide hammer that puts a massive, instantaneous force on the PC. Even with the slide hammer, 20 blows are not uncommon.

Thanks! Make my own tools. Have a puller. What size are the threads in the PCc?

Your list of removed parts doesn't include glow plugs. Can we assume those are out?
