124 running again
First off, thanks to all of you for your help in getting the Scalded Dog running again. It turned out to be a leaky o-ring in the fuel heater. Apparently it was letting air in the fuel lines and never would start. I bypassed the fuel heater and it started right up! Woooohoooo!
Now, it has very low power and tries to die at idle. I'll work on the ALDA now and probably remove it. Thanks again, Clint

Similar thing happened to me while reviving the SD from a few months slumber. I tried everything but I think ultimately it was a bad tank vent. See how much air rushes in when you pull the filler cap.
Mine seems to have cleared up on its own. A few fill-ups later there's not as much of a rush of air. Sixto 93 300SD 3.0 |

Is the tank vent part of the filler cap? Sometimes mine sucks in a bunch of air when I remove it. Time for a new cap?
