Looking/buying a W124tdt - advice needed
Looking at a W124TDT in the Atlanta area. In the pictures the car looks good but it has already 245.000 miles on the clock. Car was well cared for and present owner, for the last 10 years, claims no major work done on engine and tranny. Should I be concerned about the mileage??????????? Your views much appreciated.

I wouldn't be concerned about the mileage. Mine has 227k and runs great, BUT I just had to pay big bucks to have the tranny rebuilt.
My head has also been replaced to the most recent #22. With that kind of mileage there's a good chance your head has already been replaced. You don't want a #14 head with that kind mileage. Check out the electrical real good. Heat comes on and blows through the lower vents? A/C comes on and blows cold through the upper vents? Windows, locks, rear window wiper/squirter? Etc.... There's lots of little bits that can go wrong on that fine automobile, but they're a great wagon nonetheless.
