Check out this euro
hardly even close to a euro. Notice the US bumpers and the extra wood trim. I already emailed him, but fill free to join me:D |
Isn't that a euro rear bumper?
|
The rear bumper is American...it's just as big as the front one.
|
Nope. Sticks out too far.
Not a euro car. |
oh ok, I'm not very good with that stuff.
There is a W123 sedan around the corner from me that I thought was a euro because it looked like it had a skinny rear bumper, upon closer inspection I could see that it had been hit pretty hard in the back. If you want to euro look, but can't afford it, just smash the front and rear end into a wall. It will fool all the noobs. |
I don't see anything Euro at all about that car. Bumpers and lights are easily changeable. Rear windows are electric. Weird for an '80 model sedan to have the horizontal button climate control, though...... **edit**[ahhh, I now see where it is an '81 model] Also has trunk emblems on both sides. Automatic antenna in rear.
If it is Euro, the only Euro trait might be lack of rust proofing...... |
also notice the wood trim around the center counsel. EUro models are just black around thier

I'd take it for $250 either way. :)

Maybe he thinks it's a Euro, because it was made in europe...lol.
I'm not as proficient as some of you guys, but this is no Euro. I presently have six, all american 123 cars, from 79 to 85. This car is clearly 100% U.S. grade A stock. I was wonering though. If the car is really an 81, why is it a non-turbo job? Far as I know, everything after 1979 in automatically turbo, because that was all they offered.. Or am I wrong about this? I know one thing. I've never, ever seen one newer than a 79 without a turbo, and if this is the real deal, than it's my first. |

81-85 300TD was turbo 82-85 300D/CD was turbo |
definitely not a euro. Even if it was federalized of somesort to conform to US standards, i dont think they'd even take the time to replace the rotary AC controls to the ACC.

Whoa, so these last a million and 200,000 miles, not just a million??
