Resurrecting '87 300D: '88 TE parts compatibility?

I'm resurrecting my "parts" '87 300D for my 15y/o daughter, and scavenging parts from an '88 TE. So far I have found that exterior and interior body parts are compatible with the exception of the upper-half of the rear doors and basically from the rear seat back. Cool because she will have TE rear door inners with speakers.

I've pulled lots of spares, from CCU to blower to seat controls to ... But haven't ventured into engine accessories, so my question:

My A/C compressor is seized, does anyone know if the 300TE and 300D compressors are the same? Look the same at a glance, but mounting might be different, ... does anyone know?

Also PS pump. On the TE it is a hydraulic pump for mineral oil, but sure looks the same as my PS pump. Will the PS pump and PS unit from a wagon/TE work on my diesel with PS fluid? I'd sure like to keep it for a spare if it does.

What are the two computers behind the battery? Is one for the ABS? If so, which one?

Also, if anyone needs a complete rear-seat-back with 3rd seat blue MB-tex interior let me know, I have no use for it.

Glad I have heat in the shop today!!

I hate to resurrect this old of a thread...but I will anyway. Babymog, are you saying that a front door from an '87 300TE will bolt on a 300D from the same year?
I need a front door for my 1990 300TE and found one on an '88 300E. Will they bolt up with, of course, minor adjustments?

I thought TE's had a tandem pump, two pumps in one and the steering fluid never touched the suspension fluid.

Cool then they got the same pump as 603's with SLS or ASD.

this is not quite true.
there are differences between several of the pumps on gassers and the diesel wagon.

Jeff(the OP) has been laying low, so I would not expect a reply from him anytime soon. FYI: we have talked via email in the last couple weeks, so he is still alive and well.

ashedd, it looks like you have a '90 TE and an '87 300D. Does it look like the front doors are interchangible?

'90 exterior trim would be different. I've successfully installed 88 TE doorpanels on my 87s. The window regulator was different for some reason though, so my window couldn't be repaired with that part.

as far as I know yes. Only difference is trim, as said already. goodluck

EDIT:
Just noticed your going from '87 to '88.. they should be exactly the same doors.
