Braided flexible injection lines
Hello,
Here's question for the diesel guys. Has anybody used flexible injection lines. for your 240d/300d/300sd. e.g. from the injection pump to the injectors? Brian |
No. They need to be thick metal because they hold ~2500psi of fuel. They have to be exactly the same length with minimal expansion otherwise it will affect injection timing.
|
Flex hoses can easily hold 2500psi. It's the expansion of the hose under pressure that upsets injection quality that makes it unsuitable.
|
Yup, the braided hose would flex in diameter, and probably give symptoms similar to air in the fuel lines........
