Braided flexible injection lines

Hello,

Here's question for the diesel guys.

Has anybody used flexible injection lines.
for your 240d/300d/300sd. e.g. from the injection pump to the injectors?

No. They need to be thick metal because they hold ~2500psi of fuel. They have to be exactly the same length with minimal expansion otherwise it will affect injection timing.

Flex hoses can easily hold 2500psi. It's the expansion of the hose under pressure that upsets injection quality that makes it unsuitable.

Yup, the braided hose would flex in diameter, and probably give symptoms similar to air in the fuel lines........
