I Need Advice Buying a 87' 300SDL

I'm looking at a 2-owner, 234,000 mile excellent condition 300SDL. Though I am a previous Mercedes owner, I'm not terribly familiar with the 6 cyl diesel cars.

This car has complete records. The current owner is a client and very compulsive. It received a new gearbox at 90,000 miles. Recently has new tires, rebuilt fuel pump, (it leaked), rebuilt vacuum pump, and a major service. The car has had synthetic oil (20/50) for most of it's life. An older yet good paint job and with a straight body and near perfect interior.

My concerns are the longevity of the gearbox and turbo and also any issues these cars are prone to.

Also, does anyone know what one should pay for a car like this?
