Thanks for the reply.

I am actually removing the lock housing and want to transplant the switch onto a new lock housing.

It looks simple enough. But i hear there are like two barbs to get through.

Any tips on how to transplant the switch without damaging it?

Its a small silver(aluminum) box under the dash, just unplug it...or open it, kill the piezo buzzer, and put it back together....

Found answer to my own problem.

Just get at it with a hack saw on both sides. And the switch comes out free; to transplant to other lock assembly.

To buzz if i leave the key in

I wonder if I can transplant a 80's "Your door is ajar" voice from a Nissan. God I hated that thing. Ding Ding Your door is ajar. No **** sherlock.

The one good thing about the buzzer is for your lights.

If you want it to buzz when you leave the lights on but not when you first turn the key on, just unplug the switch in the belt buckle. The connector can be found under the drivers seat.

I've wanted to do surgery on that little buzzer box and implant a newer "sound chip" with a sound of my choice on it.... someday....when I am bored.
