w123, 300D automatic tranny with overdrive

Is that what I am seeing here? Would be an interesting combination if it is.

ebay automatic transmission

Will it fit a w123?

Won't fit a 616 or a 617...the starter hooter is on the wrong side. Bummer!

722.3 has overdrive? Where do you see this in the ad?

That is what I am thinking. I vaguely remember reading somewhere one time that there was an overdrive attachment available for these old trannies. I can't say I have ever seen one so I am guessing that is what it is.

He says in the ad that it came from an'84 TD wagon. I emailed to try and find out if he has a clue what it is.

it looks like the transfer case on my astro... could this be from an 87 or so 4matic?

That eBayer is a moron. No telling what you're really buying because some of his pics definitely don't jive with his descriptions.

For example: Pic of gasser engine

Vstech, you may be onto it...look at the far side of that tranny, it looks like driveshaft laying along side the case.
