Can I replace the seat controls in a 1983 300SD with seat controls from another W126 that have seat memory? My original controls did not have seat memory but they were the standard six way control. Can i replace this with controls that have seat memory? thanks

You might be able to, the memory is stored in the switch. I don't know if its a plug and play deal, get a junk yard switch to try it first. It might not even fit in the door panal properly. I wouldn't go an order a pair at $100 each only to find they don't work.

memory seats had a seat control module for that. you can still use the memory switch in a non-memory car, the wiring just wont be there to plug in the switch for the memory function, all the others will be the same..
