'96 E300D fuel problems

I have a '96 E300D that when I park it on an incline, nose first, the fuel seems to be draining out of the system and it will not start. After putting it on level ground and alot of cranking it finally starts. Anybody out there experience this problem. What is the fix on this? Thank god Phoenix is flat.

Replace the o-ring beneath the fuel pre-filter. It is the most common culprit. Check all other fuel lines for any leaks.

Parking nose down will help in the mean time as will keeping the tank above 1/2 filled.
