Personalized interior trim

I was thinking with my new skillz on the CNC maybe I can add some flair to the center console wood and the other wood..

I was thinking of engraving my name in old english or putting mercedes benz in it and 300D underneath

or a hash of tri stars all over..

I'm going to need a spare center console wood peice and the ACC cover.. anyone have some for experiment purposes?

What do you guys think? I can probably even create custom door sill plates(well the files and send them to surf to be cut from stainless)

Any other ideas?

excess bling.

Now, If you could come up with a way to CNC a replacement from lexan and then put a veneer on it...

I can do the lexan thing...

Im going to do it up in solid works first and render it as it would look.. Im not talking serious bling.. just something nice..

I would like some chrome door sill trim like the new S600 has...

What type of CNC machine do you use? I've got a Taig 2019CR-ER and have all the software and hardware to convert it to CNC but haven't gotten my ass in gear and actually done it.

I see you mention that you're using Solid Works. Does that output the G-code? If not, what do you use to convert your files to G-code (or are you using code proprietary to the CNC machine)?

Thanks,
Shawn

On our HAAS machines we have to use MasterCam to convert SolidWorks and AutoCad drawings to G code. The Hurco's are manually programmed based on dimensions.
