Air in fuel lines,I had it!!!

Have 1984 300d, home made wvo with grease car valves. I have air in the diesel lines. Removed tank screen and cleaned it. No air is coming from the supply, there is a glass filter before diesel filter. Air seems to be getting in the diesel filter as it shows up in another glass filter after the diesel filter. All new fuel lines, new primer pump, changed filter housing , with one off a parts car, still getting air!!!! New diesel filter still air !!!! It seems when I give it throttle a steady stream of fuel, then I get aerated diesel(Looks like foam). The valve's are not leaking because I bypassed them and get the same result. Will try changing the crush washers next (stealer closed today) I've smelt like diesel for days, my hands are raw, and its cold out. Open to all suggestions. I HAVE HAD IT!!!Thanx Jimmy

Umm, is this a cosmetic problem that you're upset about where you're seein air in the 617's primary filter? And does it actually effect performance?

Dunno beans about WVO systems, but heck the primary on my '83 240 is always halfway filled with air.

What you've described, "aerated diesel(Looks like foam)" is not normal, you must have an air leak someplace. I also don't know anything about WVO systems, but I would probably disconnect all the WVO stuff until I got it sorted out.

Yes it does effect performance, will be on the highway and it sputters then it runs normal, sputters then normal, etc..... Before this started happening I also had air in the primary but not the foamy fuel.
Thanx Jimmy

Are you blending anything in with your WVO? Such as gasoline, which when heated supposedly can vaporize. Steve

No blends, I have bypassed the valves. I am still getting air, only thing I can think of is the crush washers are sucking air somewhere. The way it is set up is the fuel is getting sucked thru the filter as opposed to getting pushed thru. It has worked for me for 26,000 miles and now air!!!
Thanx Jimmy
