Exclamation Sunroof sunk in

Has anyone ever taken the roof panel off a manual sunroof before? For a while now the right rear side of my sunroof was sinking in on the top. Now the whole thing is sinking in in the back. I have to fix it, no more putting it off. Just wondering how you get the interior panel off the sunroof so i can figure out why its sinking in in the back

Thanks all for what you guy do to help me!

The sunroof's headliner is held on by 6 or so metal clips that attach at the front. Open the roof about 2 inches so that you can grab the headliner with your fingers and then pull down. You should be able to pull the clips free from their holes. It might take a medium-hard tug. Then open the sunroof the rest of the way while holding the headliner in place. Once the roof is all the way open, pull the headliner out through the roof.

EDIT: I just re-read your post. What I'm describing works for an electric roof; I'm not sure it's the same for the manual. The first step in that case, I would guess, would be to remove the handle that locks the roof into place...

I think that there are height adjusting screws in the tracks that the roof slides on.

There are adjustments, if thats what you need. To remove #1 Unlock SR lid and take end lever out of recess. #2 After opening SR lid 3/4's of the way, unclip SR headliner at front and pull it out upward. #3 Open SR lid all the way and remove left and right sliding rails. #4 lift off sunroof lid. This is from MB service manual 1982. It goes on to detail adjustments and installation.I may have typed all this in before. Have you done a search?
