start baby start

after sitting for a couple weeks cos i had to get the starter fixed, she just dont wanna start

its almost like its not getting enough diesel, i have to pretty much flood the poor thing to get it going

once i get it running for 2 seconds, if i try to crank it over again it goes easy

anything would be nice!, it is cold here in canada but not that bad, i plug it in all the time , 24/7 no difference tho

could the diesel be junk? only sat for 3 weeks at most

If it's hard to start, unless it was just running, all sources point to glow plugs.

my car sat for 8 months MB cam to jump it and it started first try. so your fuel condition should be fine. i would check the GP as mentioned.

Where are you in canada, Im in london ontario. I have tons of experiance with these cars and parts.

Do some quick tests for me, First open the diesel fuel cap, did you hear a whoosh, if so your vent line is clogged, it will cause hard or no start scenarios.

Do you have any diesel leaks in the system, possibly the primer pump, give it a pump, do you feel resistance, once in a while i pump the primer pump a few times to make sure the spin on filter is full.

When did you last change the fuel filters, I sometimes get poor diesel in my town so i change mine every 6 months or sooner. change them both, prime the spin on before tightening it.

obviously check the glowplugs, Does the glow light come on, with 4 working plugs my glow light works, but if 2 arent working then no light. esp if the #1 plug is down.

Good luck.
