Delivery of my new 123.120 (200D) with factory tow hitch (you can laugh now).

200D POWA. Look how dinky the engine is. Took 1hr to drop transmission, SOOOO much room to work in! 101K on the odo. Besides the tear in the mb text and some wear on the drivers seat the interior is pristine.

There are more pics on comp at work. I've already pulled the transmission and tomorrow it will go into the 123.130 with the 617.952. My daily driver drive train will eventually end up in it.

"factory" tow hitch

Is that really what the factory tow hitch looks like? That thing looks like something out of medical textbook.

12312010135107 of course the russian site doesnt know what it is. Gorilla knob == the PITA glow/start thing?

And yes its as factory as a hitch can get....

I have a feeling its a .ca delivery. All the gauges/climate control knobs are in english but the temp gauge is C..... And yes, only one switch on the console! This thing makes a 240 look like a true luxory model!

i love that car!

simplicity itself.

i had a hitch that looked like that back in 73 when i did a traveling fellowship in europe with a 61 220b and pulled a little lightweight 13' travel trailer. mine was aftermarket i believe. i bought it at a travel trailer place i believe.

I assume its factory since it is part of the rebar itself and the bumper is more reinforced than any other euro I have seen. I'll take pics up close when I take it off. It looks more like a fed bumper.

Yes that knee breaker looks like a factory approved or built unit. . Same look as one that I removed from one of my 114 coupes. Arms go right under and past the gas tank to anchor on the 114. Plus at the area just in from the rear bumper. That part may be different on a 200 if the tank is in the trunk.

Yeh, that could cause some serious hitch envy. Does it vibrate?
