Vacuum transducer testing and part number

I need to know the part number of Y31/3 (wastegate vacuum transducer) on a 1990 300D 2.5T (124.128). I'm thinking that mine might be bad, and I'm away from my car. Any info on how to test these? Do they just take 12V to open?

My car is getting 18+ second 0-60 times which indicates no boost. My ALDA plumbing is OK, and I already did two diesel purges while back home over winter break. Spring break is coming up and I'd like to get it fixed before the get together on the 18th.

I've heard of temporarily bypassing the transducer (and closing the wastegate) to check if the enrichment system is functioning properly and that the wastegate being held open is indeed my problem. Is it safe to do that? I would be willing to bet that in that situation it would get into an overboost situation and the overboost switch will cut the pressure to the ALDA, keeping the boost within somewhat safe levels.

I'm also going to build a code flasher for the EDS to see what it has to say, and I bet it has a few things . Earlier when the mechanic was looking at it he said that the crank sensor and the rack position sensor were throwing codes. He replaced them, reset the EDS and it didn't fix the problem. So he put the old ones back on. He said this is most likely because the EDS is expecting a higher value to be read from each of these, and the engine and IP aren't getting to those values because there isn't enough boost.

This thing has been frustrating me for the longest time.....and even with it being slow I still don't get any mileage improvements

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...I love this car...but why does it have to be so sloooooow????
