190D>>>clutch master cylinder,hydraulic lifter replacement?

I found a 190D, that has had a recent head gasket replacement and timing chain replacement. Are these things prone to head gasket failure, as another one I looked at a few months ago, had a head gasket leaking also? Anyway, the currant owner says the clutch master cylinder has a leak and needs to be replaced(unless I like adding oil constantly) How big a job is that to replace? He also indicated that one of the hydraulic lifters was rattling and thought it might needed replaced(unless running some mobile 1 would quiet it down?) How tough is it to replace the hydraulic lifter? By the way, this is a 1984 with the manual 2.5(which seem to be very hard to find!) Anything else I should be concerned about with this year and model?
thanks,
coadman

Yep, I stand corrected, after the owner noted the error! Any comment on these early 190's, are they prone to head gasket leaking?
thanks,

Replace the two small o-rings on the center "bolt" in the oil filter housing cap. This often "cures" tappet noise since the upper gallery will leak down overnight if they are bad. Cam has to come out to replace the tappets.

The head gaskets aren't very robust in the original version, but the newer gaskets seem to work better. On a NA engine, the head gasket isn't a tough job.

Thanks, if I progress any further with "negotiations", I will remember the small o-rings!
