Alarm problem....any ideas?
I'm having a problem with my '84 300SD. When I unlock and open the driver's door, the alarm goes off and continues to sound until it times out. (It has done this occasionally over the past few months, but the problem always went away with a couple of cycles of the key in the lock; now it doesn't). I can start and drive the car, but when I touch the brake pedal the alarm horn starts again, and runs until timeout (unless I touch the brake again). Also, the trunk opening button will not depress (or accept the key) to open it. I suspect a vacuum problem, perhaps (I hope) hoses; or a bad switch or solenoid somewhere in the system. I hope it's not the pump.....
Any ideas?

Did these cars ever come with a factory alarm? Sounds like a wire or 2 came loose somewhere... I've had it happen on my alarm install, need to go back in and solder them up, just haven't felt like doing it.. (and I never truely finished installing it either, bunch of the aux outputs aren't connected..)
