Name this part.

In my 85 I am trying to install my clutch but there is a big shiny metal box in the way. Anyone know what its for? I will take pics when I get home.

Also is it easier to remove the brake and clutch pedal cluster or just the clutch? I r3emove just the clutch before I noticed the 85 did not have a mount for the clutch pedal.

without pictures I am guessing that you are looking at the shiny alum box that contains the cruise control amp.

The pedal assembly is removed as a unit, 4 nuts plus the linkage.
