Thanks Barry, I appreciate that. I am learning and am better at taking in this situation now than I was a few days ago. Appreciate all the logic too!
I wasn't clear about the MMO soak, it was 2 1/2 days of soaking in California sun.
I think my neighbor can help me out on the air test. I'll post the results when I get them.
Cheers.

On second thought, I'll let the diesel shop handle this. Peace of mind is more important right now. I think GreasyBenz has a lead for me.
You guys ever feel like standing around to watch your mechanic work? Much like the feeling you get when you are in the ER with your sick kid and don't want to leave your kids' side? That is how I feel right now but nothing is urgently wrong because I have another car to drive. I still worry a little about my sick car though.
Thanks for reading.

You have to have the injectors tested before you KNOW for sure that the soaking did the job. Otherwise it is a SWAG as to whether you only got the surface carbon out or whether the entire thing is clean. Only an injector test will tell you if the spray pattern and pop off pressure is good or not.

I ALWAYS stand beside my tech when they work. Twice I haven't and the first time the tech didn't do what he was supposed to do. The second time, the tech (210OLEMOTOR) did my spring perch like it should have been done. Other than that, I am always by the tech. I was that way when Gilly was my tech and still am. Ditto for my other cars.

a simple thing to try with this car is pull the injector out, spray a liberal amount of PB blaster into the cylinder and let it sit for 15 minutes, then with the injector still out, crank over the motor really fast. let it blow out all the PB and then put in the compression test rig and see if it still has low pressure. do the same on the high ones, amazing what a dif spinning a motor over with the injector out. the motor can spin about twice as fast, and it really works over the penetrant!

Aklim-
Don't make me say this again, I am going to have my injectors tested by the diesel shop then I will have the cylinders tested. Whatever test they can do without having the head pulled! I will stop when the mechanic finds out what is wrong.
I am following some of the advice you had so you do not need to repeat yourself. If you want to know that I am listening to you, yes I am, so relax dude.
Thanks.

I never said that soaking and cleaning the injectors is going to solve my car trouble. In fact I am sure that it is not going to help much. It was just an experiment that worked out OK. I was only stating that the MMO successfully loosen the carbon. That is it.
