How did you find one free?

Maybe it's just me, but did anyone notice the irony of the demand for wanting the emergency triangle that we hope to NOT have to use ;)

That's right. I also wonder how many of us with these rare warning triangles will actually use them if we have a breakdown?
I mean, someone may actually run over the thing instead of noticing it means to AVOID it.:P

Honest, I couldn't care less for one of those... but what I'd truly have a use for is one of those signs you see posted on trucks or school buses that say "slow vehicle, keep away from my tail and do not come close!" I am sick and tired of the drivers behind me that nearly hit me every time I (slowly) start moving at a crosslight that has just turned green...
It's clearly indicated on my tail, "240D," what do they think I am driving, a Ferrari?

It's a long kinda story.....short version
I went to the yard today........He had CRUSHED the 79 TD that he told me he would not. I had about $500 in profit go down the tubes.....not happy. Then he tells me he is crushing 3 126's (gas) tomorrow. I paid for 2 seat springs........he gave me all the "little" stuff free to help stop me crying:D . Oh......I got 4 clusters on ebay now......theyr're "little"

I found one of these at a pick-n-pull. Opened the trunk and there it was. $4.95 with the clip - that was a good find! Yes, there is some irony in the feeling.

So, where is ours?

300SD81 03-11-2007 10:39 PM

I'll have to start looking for them in the yards... Is is considered acceptable to pull parts and resell on ebay? I've seen some things at the yards that go for good money on ebay...

Why not? You provided the time, labor and fuel to get the parts...

whether it comes from a yard or a parts car out back, It is a used part. If I need one, I don't care where it comes from. If I can sell it and make a buck or two and keep a few more of these on the road, GREAT

Oh yeah, I have had one clipped to the SDL's trunk lid for years, I never plan on using it.

I think its a status thing amoung MB owners. Their are those with emergency triangle's, and the other group without them.:D

ImBroke 03-12-2007 01:36 AM

I fall into the latter group... :(
