Squeaky wiper noise better, but....

Two questions:

1) I posted something a while back about my noisy wiper blade. The old ones, squeaked when it reached the passenger side. When I replaced it with a new Anco blade, it was then squeaking on both ends of the run! Great, just what I wanted, to buy a new blade to hear more squeaking.

I did a post, some of you said try a different blade, and someone else recommended trying to adjust the angle of the wiper. I bought a Rain X blade, and it is better. Now I'm just hearing a light squeak at the passenger end.

Still, I wonder if there's any way to adjust the tension (or angle) of the blade. Seems like it's wiping with a bit too much down force, I would like to lighten that up a bit.

2) I wonder if there's any way to adjust the intermittent wiper timing. I highly doubt it. I wish it had a speed 1/2 as slow as it's current slowest speed. It wipes too much for a slight drizzle, and without any water on the window, it squeaks of course.

Thanks,

I use only bosch micro edge wipers. they are oem, I beleive. the dealer wants $28/ea but they can be found at checker for around $10, minus the nice MB box.

I just scored a case of ten off ebay for $36, shipped so I wont be needing to buy wipers for a few years. the last set lasted 15+ months...

I have heard that other brands can cuase squeaks. Mine are silent, except on a dry windsheild. I also use rainx a few times a year.

On my '88 300CE

On my other Benz, whatever blades I had were pretty much silent. That's why I wondered about this car, seems the pressure is too much on the arm. I'm sure they have a way to adjust that.

Any ideas on the speed of the intermittent wipers? Any way to slow them down? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks,

jeff
