Diesel Purge = Tune-Up In A Bottle!!!! Ten Steps To A World Of Difference!

WOW! MAGIC LUQUID!!! This stuff is amazing!

Procedure:.... (What I did at least)

1. Let the engine warm up to operating temp for 10 minutes.
2. Filled beaker with 500mL of Lubro Moly Diesel Purge.
3. Disconnected fuel in line pre filter and attached a new line which was placed at the bottom of the beaker.
4. Disconnected return line and placed it at top of beaker.
5. Started engine and let run for 5 minutes at idle.
6. Tapped the throttle many times to WOT.
7. Slowly increased the throttle to 3500RPM or so for 2 minutes.
8. Let the engine idle off the rest of the diesel purge until almost empty- another 3 min.
9. Reconnected return line
10. Reconnected fuel line.

Now for the test drive......

OMG!

Absolutely amazing difference!

1. Sounds WAY BETTER. No more clanking and clicking!
2. Starts MUCH BETTER. No more stumbling!
3. No more PARKINSONS SHAKE! Runs very smooth!
4. Acceleration is linear! Pedal actually feels like it makes a difference after 25% WOT!
5. Acceleration is WAY FASTER. 40-80 MPH Feels like a gas engine!

I am absolutely amazed how much a bottle of fluid made such a difference. I was doubtful at first, now I'm sold. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who has not tried it on their diesel yet.
Thanks!
Adam

I like two cans at a time on my OM606. I fire it up cold on DP and let it reach operating temp and then shut it down and let it sit all day to let the solvents do thier job. Then I fire it up cold again and let it idle up to operating temp and then let her rip a few times to burn off the remainder.

Good stuff. Helps quiet things down.

Yeah, but where do you get it?

I think I'm going to have to try a diesel purge. A valve adjustment didn't smooth out my idle (I like the "Parkinson's shake" description! That's what mine does--shudders at idle.)

However, where do you get your diesel purge? I'm assuming you're using Liqui-Moly (formerly Lubri-moly) brand. The prices online range quite a bit, from $10 to $20 a can, then there's shipping...it can get up there. Know any online parts dealers with free shipping offers over $50 that deal in this stuff?

I've also heard reports of getting it at stores for as low as $6. I've called around, but can't locate a store where I live that carries it (greater Denver area). Anybody ever found it here in the Centennial state?

They are a parts store and will have more.

Just send them an email that you want to be notified when they get it.

I found out today that not every Napa carries it. Does this just clean the injectors or does it help with anything else? My injectors were recently machined for an SVO conversion. Adjusting the ALDA got rid of the minor shaking my SD sometimes had, but still leaves some performance to be desired.
