617/manual transmission vibrations FIXED

My rear flex disk was on its last legs when I was doing my engine conversion and I finally got around to replacing it. The front disk was almost new so I did not replace it.

Previously I had fairly severe vibrations at low RPMs in third, and some vibrations in 4th. The new flex disk has cleared these vibrations up by about 90%. It is still not as smooth as my 240D was, but this could be due to the inherent vibrations from a 5 cylinder engine. I hope the fix is this easy for the others with this vibration problem.

probably.. just slightly more torque on the flexdisk with the intercooler.:D
cant wait to see the euros addition, and we have got to get you some wheels..

Good show, you'r no doubt pleased the vibration WAS'NT something related to your swap, at least directly.

the five will have a noticable vibration with a stick tranny. if using a 240 fw it will be more noticable.

This is only if you dont use the driveshaft dampener. Anyone know if this can be purchased from MBUSA still? I used the flywheel from the 200D without an issue.
