Pull Them Or Not - W210 Glow Plugs
OK - first of all I understand that I am crazy. You don't need to remind me. :-)
Now - about my 1999 E300 TD: I'm having the delivery seals replaced on top of the IP and all the fuel lines and o rings too since the parts were so cheap and only about .5 hours labor to putr them in. Anyway, the intake manifold has to come off to do the job so the mechanic will have easy access to the glow plugs. Going to cost me about $150 + maybe 30 - 60 minutes labor to replace the GP IF everything goes as planned. I am selling the car in about a month because I'm getting a company car. What do you think - if the glow plugs come out easily and are brand new with anti-seize - is it going to add any substantial value to the car when it goes back on the auction block? BTW, mechanic says if they're working - he wouldn't recommend pulling them... but that if I want him to do it - he isn't too concerned that he'll break one off either. Opinions?
