Rack damper on a 92' w124 300d?

Where is it located on the IP?

She's studdering and has quite the rumble. I know part of this is an air leak, but I'd like to be sure this is also set right,

Idle speed is controlled by the computer. Are you getting poor performance and stumbling at higher RPM's also? Make sure all your fuel lines are good and tight if you suspect an air leak. Also be sure that none of your injectors are bad/very dirty. Might be wise to do a diesel purge anyways if it hasn't been done lately. If its only a cold start thing and it disappears when the engine warms, check the glow plugs.

I did a 2 can diesel purge a few days ago. Runs far smoother than it did, but did not fix the stumble at idle.

I think I'm a victim of ULSD.

Could also be timing and injector related, I guess. She does have over 400k on her - none of which I have document for. I'm going to be going to a u-pull-it to get some injectors to play with.
