I had a new windshield install on my 95 E300D. What a difference. The old windshield was full of small pits and it made it diffecult to see. Now every thing looks clear. I'm one happy boy. LOL. Jay

I have a golf ball sized shatter directly in my line of sight, I should order my new windshield soon! Does anyone know if the windshields can be installed sans-chrome trim? I'd like to ditch the trim if I can...

Just black it out like AMG. I would be interested to hear from others about windshield replacement. Mine has spidered bad all over the drivers side.

I have had them replaced on 87, 92 and 96 124s with good success. I had a brain f and bought a new rubber gasket for my 77 123, had this guy do it that did the 96, he looked like he was doing great, but the windshield now has air infiltrating on edges(turning white) and so I will replace the ws.

can a windshield be replaced at home? I've never tried it, we always has a pro come in when I worked at the body shop.
