'82 300SD turn signals won't blink
82 300SD
background: Left side would flash quickly, but front and back lamps functional. Right side would flash normally, but only when I moved the stalk partway. If I moved it all the way to detent, right signals don't flash. Current: Both sides now only provide solid on (no blink), right side still only illuminates when moving stalk part way. I suspect it's the combo-switch from the threads I've searched. Is the method get to it to remove the steering wheel? Thanks |

Have you checked out the turn signal relay? I would try that before attacking the switch; should be easier to get at.

Also try the fuse. Probably isn't the culprit but it wouldn't hurt to check it. Then I would try the signal mechanism on the steering column.

I had the same problem when I first bought an SD. Pull the turn signal relay out from under the kick panel below the steering wheel, pry it open and clean up the contacts and relay. Let us know how it works out..

i had the same problem, just replace the relay behind the das, it like a $10 dollar part, it should solve all your non blinking problems
