i thought it was not a out of line post because of it being April 1st. it is just a funny joke that Google is displaying on their main page. it is very clever and very funny. it is not spam or anything like that.

If it was me running a company of that size and importance... I wouldn't allow it, though... (it sort of affects the corporate image negatively, IMHO)
But then, again, I'm not running a company of that size and importance. So...

Good thing Larry Page and Sergey Bin don't think like you do, because they might not be rich beyond all comprehension like they are now.

Your statement assumes you too to be capable of that sort of thinking, otherwise how could you possibly know how they think? :confused: I think the thinking (:silly: ) conducive to the humor posted on their website isn't necessarily the type conducive to the wealth they achieved... for instance, you do not find similar patterns in the way Larry Ellison runs Oracle, or Bill Gates Microsoft... and the same goes for most of the Forbes 400 List's members operating in a corporate environment... So, the thinking allowing for Google's April Fool humor might not at all be along the lines of the thinking Larry and Sergei used to create great wealth, but in spite of it...

However, all this temptative analysis is beside the point...

All I meant to convey is that, nevertheless and in spite of all their riches, IMHO that sort of April Fool thing is something that only someone a bit too young and a bit too immature for their corporate chairs would do... Just my opinion, of course...

Oh come-on! This did exactly what it was intended to do... I made people laugh, which will make em more likely to come back to google at a later date, and more likely to make em money... You don't have to be stone-faced and greedy to be rich!
