Wow, realistically it's worth about half what he's asking if it's really in 9/10 condition. To be worth $17K it would have to have very low documented miles, like 20 or 30K.

looks like he's trying to cross-subsidize his other hobbies. A garage big enough to hold a plane..and nice wood paneling....geez!

It's gotta be worth what he's asking, after all it does have white walls (circular line of crack)

Must've been one dedicated 300D owner to pamper it so much. Of all the cars in the world to pamper...

I drove past a 450SEL 6.9 in my neighborhood this morning (must be visiting, I've never seen it before), and it was in 3/10 condition. Paint oxidized, windows crappy, worn tires, bumper issues, etc. In my opinion, if there are any Mercedes worth extra pampering they are the flagship icons, not (relatively) economical cars like a 300D or my E300.

my coupe flew in a 747.

That paint is nice but it needs about 120k less miles for that price.

We have seen a link to his ridiculous postings before. Gee, the car is still there. Maybe if it had come over on the Concord........

I bought mine at an airport, and saw a 747 while I was there, shouldnt that raise the value of mine too?

Pretty sure mine, like its ancestors, came over on a boat. Humble beginnings.

Well, looks like it's still parked in the Hangar, does that add, to the value at all.. ?
I just sold my 89 300CE with only 31,000 miles, and in meticulous condition w/service records from everything ever touched on it. I got $15,900.oo for the car...Think I should have sat on it, a while longer, and waited for twice that ? This guy would have advertised my car for $40k if he was selling it.. I should have had him sell it, and just given him a few bucks as a sales fee...I only had the car for sale for a total of like 38 hours, before the guy came along, drove it, looked it over, and bought it. Came back three hours later with a bank check in an envelope...Should have tried for $40k....
