Does anybody have a little sunroof paste for sale??
I have 2 cars with manual sunroofs, and they can be difficult to pull open. I've heard how good the MB-type paste works, and also seen where it comes in massive quatoms.
Does anybody have the larger quantity and want to sell a small amount? Also, how would this stuff work on power antennas? Mine really seem to struggle going down, especially the 240, and I haven't found a good way to free/lube them yet. Thanks if possible.

I think Silicon Spray works good for stuck antennas.

I think maybe the parts guy in Atlanta sell the paste in small quantities. I don't remember the name of the company, but the guys name is Rusty. Maybe somebody else knows who I am talking about.

It might be worth checking with Fastlane to see if they offer (or would consider offering) small containers of the stuff for sale. They get the lion's share of my parts business. |

Check ebay. I bought a small tin of it there for something like $10.

Radio Shack sells a comparable paste. I can't remember the name but I bought some there a few years ago.

JimmyL,
I'm in the market for some for my sunroof also! If you have to buy in large quantity, I'll split some with you. Only thing, I am in Kansas. Jim

Word on the street is that NAPA sells stuff called Sil-Glyde for $6 that works beautifully.

I guess I may try the Napa stuff first, and just bide my time until I run across some of the real stuff. I saw the Kit from **************, but first off I have manual sunroofs, and don't need the other stuff. Plus, for $44 bucks I would just go ahead and buy the full size Mercedes paste.

If you want pure silicone grease, buy plumber's grease at the hardware store, it's plastic compatible and waterproof, works great.
If you want PTFE based, same deal, hardware stores sell that in tubes also. I've got lubes around here that are over $100/oz., and stuff from hardware stores, for sunroofs I use the hardware store stuff, ... it ain't rocket science just synthetic grease.

I'd be interested in a small container of the stuff, as my sunroof hasn't been lubed for a long time, and the MB sunroof track lube is recommended for the job.
Does Rusty in Atlanta sell it, or someone here?
