If you want them at full retail price, then Performance Products has them - a full set of W123 carpets. I believe two levels of carpet are available. The PerfProd catalog is a valuable resource and I recommend you go to their website and look for the link to enter your address for a catalog.

Also, I think there may be carpet sets that come up on EBay at times.

For my part, I have one car that had to have all the carpet pulled up, including that which was glued down, for a floor pan restoration. Considering the circumstances, I plan to glue back plain rubber mats to those areas that had glued carpet. Then I will use removeable carpet floor mats. But this is a commuter car and not an attempt at full restoration.

And, I would be incomplete in my response if I didn't also mention that you should resolve any and all water leaks before you replace the carpets.

Careful about that color, though. Palomino is not what you want because it didn't come out until 1980. You probably want Bamboo instead.

replacing the carpet

i'm replacing mine with indoor - outdoor carpet. peeling the old off and scrapping the glue off and cutting new carpet and glueing it down. it's looking better as i get closer to finishing. it will be less than $100. all the materials came from home depot

Not a bad option to go with indoor/outdoor carpeting.

It's not that astro-turf bright green stuff is it?

How many Sq Ft of pad and carpet are needed, 76 30D

I'm wanting to make the car better, not do a restore. Therefore, I will go with carpet bought from a home depot type place, and try to cut it to size the best that I can. But I also want to add a sound pad to the bottom, anyone know how many square feet I should order? Also if there is a link with good tips for recarpeting.

If you're straying from stock, you might want to try this stuff: http://www.yourautotrim.com/80wideozite.html

Here's some sound killing foam. Not sure how well it lays under carpet, but it is nice for behind the back seat: http://www.foambymail.com/VolaraSP.html

The underside of the original carpets have foam pads that fit the depressions underneath. You might be able to cut layers of the foam to make up the varied depths you need.
