Just got my 3rd mercedes 123

My new to me '82 300d was just delivered to me by the PO. So far , everything is working AC , windows , locks , tach, cruise control etc, it will need a front ball joint that the PO had in the car. Just a small leak in the trunk, minimal surface rust overall. Craigslist find for $1500. Can anybody tell me if the 82 300d came with the turbo diesel emblem on the trunk lid? It looks like the trunk and hood were repainted at sometime. My 83 300d has the turbo diesel emblem on the trunk. Thanks in advance for all the help. mark:D

Yes they did. Check your SLS fluid level ASAP and plan on changing fluid and filter for it in near future unless you have maint records showing otherwise. SLS repairs will cost alot more than $1500.
TD is a fantastic car. |

Cleaned the banjo bolts today , fixed a vac leak on the vcv, modulator line. The trans now shifts like new. Need to fix the oil drip from the oil pressure gauge. It drips a drop or 2 on my left foot. Everything seems to work. Can't wait for the weather to warm a bit, to crawl underneath and see what I can mess with. Speedo error ( see a previous thread) open for comment. Getting ready for the WVO conversion.:D The neighbors can't believe I bought 3 MBZs within a year. Only have $4500 invested in 3 nice looking and running diesels ,all on bio. Feels good not to be dependent on the big oil companies.:greedy: Life is good in my part of the world!!!
