w126 vented rotor retrofit into w123s

Hi,

Ive heard that some years of w126 vented rotors and calipers can directly retrofit onto w123 cars without any problems. Has anyone done this? Any hassles/issues?

Have you noted a marked difference? Is it worth it?

Thanks,

JMH

dont have a clue if it will fit but I know it will make a difference not much around town but in hard or high speed braking where your making allot of heat it will make a big difference the more heat and the faster you can get rid of it the less brake fade you will get g

Waste of time....you can't get enough heat into the rotors with a 240D anyway....they'll have cooled off too much before you get up enough speed to use the brakes again.

the vented rotors would be a nice addition especially to a wagon. the extra weight and automatic tranny put a lot of stress on brakes.

i agree probably a waste of time on a 240 unless heavily driven or in mountains a lot.

but you didnt say you had a 240 that i saw.

Rotors, backplates, and calipers. It would also be a good time to install new wheel bearings at the same time.

yep.

it will not increase braking power but will reduce fading.
