Anyone know were to get this item?

So finally i will have some money to toss around and have been really wanting to get the chrome arch trim for my 240. You always see them on ebay. However after searching and searching ebay, it appears that they are no longer on there anyone know were i can get some? or know why they don't have it on ebay anymore?

Hopefully those horrendous things have finally been outlawed!!
If you have some spare cash for your MB, you could certainly spend it better. If it was on any of mine, I would pull it off and pay you to take it. {OK, but how do I really feel }
Please tell me this isn't for your cool little Euro. Love that car....

Well i was thinking it. Has anyone had them on thier cars before? do you think they would help produce rust? The reason i want them is
1. to "hide" the dents on the rear fender well from the car acident last year
2. to hide the various scraps on the fenders

Yes jimmy sad to say they are for the Euro. But hopefully they will only be temporary. Depending on how much this dent/paint guy charges me to fix the doors. I heard he is the best in the area, and even matches the paint on the car to the paint that he sprays.

OK, we will give you a temporary pass on that one. That is such a great little 240, so, just don't make me come up there.....

Yes the 420SEL had them, and some nice rust to show for it. My dads F150 was fitted with them at the factory, and as expected rust is coming up.

They hold dirt, that holds salt and water right against the paint. Plus you need to drill holes in the fenders to mount them, those will rust as well.

If you do a search it should come up, its a pretty commonly known problem spot.

Well screw that idea then. As it stands now, my fender wells are very very clean. not even speck of rust. and if their is even a chance of rust forming.. screw it. Ill just invest my money in that new timing chain i have been wanting
