well worked on the car some more tonight, turns out that extra pin on that connector is for the automatic climate control system which this car doesnt have so didnt need it anywho, worked on electrical problems mostly the people that owned it before us didnt have a clue, the dash lights didnt work so they just lived without, had a bad fuse. the ignition switch wouldnt start the car so they drilled a nice big hole in the under dash panel and put in a push button a relay and allot of red wire and all they needed to do was replace the neutral start switch (different trans now so thats an easy fix for me). they installed an new radio (very poorly I might add) and had a few wires strung all over the dash so I removed those. and the left rear window wont roll up or down and after I got it working appears to have been that way for a long long time with as sticky as the tracks are with dirt, it just needs a new switch. its funny how much effort people will put into rigging something up instead of just taking a little time and finding the problem. thats the fun of owning an old car never know what people have done to them
