Trans problem Bowden cable.. easy fix or?
My ever so quick shifts on the 83 300DT looks to be the bowden cable to the trans. My adjustment knob on the cable is broken or stripped.
Quick easy question... the adjustment knob is broken where it tightens to the bracket ( for adjustmet) on the vavle cover...can I fix it at the adjustment end without taking the cable off the trans ? Just need to get a new adjsutment knob back on the cable.. I read that is PITA if I have to take it off down at the trans?

I do not know if that can be replaced by itself or not. I do not think it can, but I'm sure some one will know.
