Any one using a raycor or golden rod filter for getting out water.

Any input is much appreciated. The is on a WVO system.

Water block filters are not nearly as effective on WVO as they are on diesel. The simplest, most reliable water removal method for WVO is settling warm oil WITH NO CONVECTION CURRENTS to prevent settling.

Use the correct forum for the information you seek

On this forum I look for Mercedes specific items.

For your type of question I turn to either the info-pop forums, or for biased opinions, Frybrid.

Now if your question were about installing this type of filter in an MB, I'd direct you to this:

I just added a Goldenrod
somewhat surprised it does not fill up in use
but is less then 1/2 full in use even after adding fuel to fill it to start with
and refilling it after I saw the lower fuel level in it
it drops in use to 1/2 or less
anyone else have that happen or did I do something wrong?

My Stanadyne set up does that as well. I think it has to do with it being at a higher point. IT does work well, but I do experince some nailing at start up after the car sits for few hours or more.
